The
carpet manufacture : this manufacture has made carpets since the 1920's
on Jacquard and oriental looms for clients worldwide such as the "Elysée",
the White House, the "Grand Trianon". The weavers work to the sound
of the clicking of the hooks and cylinders for the highest quality carpets made
by hand only according to tradition.

The
pipe manufacture : One of the oldest manufactures in the world to make pipes!
For over a hundred years this family business has made its reputation with the
quality of its pipes. The pipes are made out of local briar from the Maures
hills and exist in all shapes and sizes.

Reeds
for wind instruments : Manufactured from local reeds by the firm "Rigotti",
they are then exported all over the world, from Japan to the West Coast of the
United States. The greatest international musicians order them by the boxful.

Raimu
museum : But it would be impossible to visit Cogolin without taking a visit
to the Raimu museum , created by the daughter and grand-daughter of the famous
French actor : posters, over 200 black & white photos and tens of personal
objects including a school book where Raimu copied down all the texts he had
to learn, stand witness to the life and work of Jules Muraire, nicknamed "Raimu"
- the immortal César of Marcel Pagnol's famous trilo.

Tour de l'Horloge (Clock Tower) : Located at the entrance to the fortified
14th century walls. The ramparts surrounded part of the village and castle.
Le
moulin de l'Isle : located at "Domaine de la Giscle". 16th century
water and wheat mill, which was driven by steam from 1830 onwards. Access: from
Cogolin, RD 14 (Route de Collobrières), Quartier de l'Amirauté.
Car park at the domaine. Open every day. Guided tours of the property (except
Sunday afternoon).
Les
Marines de Cogolin and Port Cogolin : 5 km from the village on the RN 98
road towards Saint-Tropez , comprising a 57 acre harbour complexe, a sandy beach
and a sailing school.
